Direct TV and Certus Software make deal
Certus Software, Inc., a leading provider of corporate compliance software for the enterprise announced that Direct TV, Inc. is teaming with Certus to implement and deploy an international sustainable compliance program.
Direct TV is the largest US direct broadcast satellite (DBS) provider, serving more than 14.4 million customers.
"Our goal is to leverage global compliance to help us achieve sustainable business performance. We are working with Certus to help improve internal global processes and ensure transparency for our process owners. This, coupled with Certus' commitment to product excellence, ease-of-use, and open dialogue, made them the obvious choice," said Direct TV, Inc. vice president and general auditor John Murphy.
Certus' enterprise-level software platform, the Certus Governance Suite, offers sustainable compliance, audit servicing, and enterprise risk management -- the three required facets for end-to-end support of a company's full compliance effort. For Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, the Certus suite provides best practice toolkits including control frameworks (COSO) and Sarbanes-Oxley templates from the "Big Four" accounting firms. This comprehensive platform is designed to help enterprises achieve compliance beyond Sarbanes-Oxley, supporting complex business topographies and country-specific financial control regulations.
"Sustainable compliance is top-of-mind for international businesses, like Direct TV. This is yet another proof point of our ability to support multinational regulations and governance practices with our sustainable compliance platform," said Certus CEO and founder Vani Kola.
